Questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight, honest answers about the free audit, your rights, and what iThrive can and cannot guarantee. Educational guidance only.

Is this a guarantee my credit score will go up?+

No. This is educational guidance only. No one can guarantee a credit score increase, the deletion of an accurate item, or loan approval. Accurate negative information generally remains on your report for the legally prescribed time period. If anyone promises otherwise, be cautious.

How does the free credit audit work?+

After a short quiz, you book a free 30-minute one-on-one consultation by phone or Zoom with an iThrive credit specialist. Together we review your three-bureau report, discuss possible inaccuracies, and talk through your options. The audit is conducted live by a person — it is not an automated report.

Do I need to use Credit Hero?+

Credit Hero is optional while you're exploring your free roadmap — you can finish the quiz and book your audit without it. However, an active Credit Hero account is required by the time of your consultation so you and your specialist can review your live three-bureau report together. You can start a 3-day free trial before your appointment. We never ask for your Credit Hero username or password.

Can I dispute inaccurate items myself, for free?+

Yes. Consumers can dispute inaccurate information themselves at no charge, directly with the credit bureaus. Our paid plans are for guided support and convenience only — and we never charge prohibited advance fees for credit repair services.

Where do I get my credit reports for free?+

You can request reports from each of the three bureaus — Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — for free at AnnualCreditReport.com. Reading all three matters because the bureaus don't always show the same information.

Will you ask for my SSN, account numbers, or passwords in the quiz?+

Never in the quiz. We only ask for your name, contact details, and a few goal questions. Any report upload happens later through a secure, authenticated portal with your separate consent — never by email or SMS.

What if I think I'm dealing with identity theft?+

Identity-theft claims require verified facts, not guesses. We point you to the educational resources at IdentityTheft.gov and flag your case for secure human review. Never claim identity theft without supporting facts.

What's the difference between the Standard and Expedited plans?+

Both are educational support only. Standard ($49/month) includes normal internal review, eligible dispute assistance, and monthly progress updates. Expedited ($149/month) adds priority internal review, priority support, and more frequent updates. Billing for any paid plan begins only after your free audit, signed contract, and disclosures — never in advance.

How do reminders and SMS work?+

We send a confirmation email immediately after booking, a reminder email 24 hours before, and a reminder SMS 2 hours before only where you've given separate lawful consent. You can reply STOP to opt out of messages at any time. We never send full reports or sensitive analysis by SMS.

Educational guidance only. No guaranteed score increase, deletion, or approval. Consumers can dispute inaccurate information themselves at no charge. Results vary.
